Auxiliary Police sont des policiers réservistes, c’est-à-dire des bénévoles qui veulent aider la NYPD.
 Ces personnes ont d’abord reçue une formation à l’école de police, avant d’entrer dans la NYPD.
 Ces personnes ne sont pas rémunérés et ne portent pas d’armes mais ils ont droit
au bâton de police (matraque), menotte, gilet par balle.
